Sweden has a prosperous economy and exceptionally high standard of living. The country has an excellent transportation network, advanced infrastructure and a skilled workforce. Sweden possesses timber, hydropower and iron ore in abundance.

But Sweden has no petroleum reserves whatsoever. Instead, Sweden produces over 93% of its energy needs from nuclear and hydropower sources.

Roughly 60% of Swedish oil imports goes to transportation. The rest is used in maunfactered products for export.
