OMAN - Sultanate of Oman

Oman lacks the huge reserves of oil enjoyed by its Persian Gulf neighbors.

Nevertheless, the country has used the petroleum revenues it does have to invest in and diversify its economy. Oman today is a successful and stable state.

Oman exports almost 95% of the oil it produces. The Yibal field is Oman's largest, but it has peaked and is in decline.

Oman is not an OPEC member.
